Welcome to Girl Scouts of Orange County Troop 2898! We're so glad you found us!
We're a multi-level troop with girls ranging in age from Kindergarten through 9th grade. We meet in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA and our members come from there and the surrounding communities.
We are SUPER-ACTIVE and BUSY! Our Daisy and Brownie troops meet every other Sunday (usually the first and third Sundays of the month) and Juniors and Cadettes meet every Sunday. Year round, you may find us working on badges, doing community service projects, or camping.
If you're interested in joining our exciting group, click on the Contact Us link and request more information. We look forward to hearing from you!

Girls will be placed in the order received, with priority given to campers of full-time adult volunteers and troops who satisfy their volunteer requirement.
MEALS – This service is available to anyone attending camp and is optional. Lunch will be brought in or made at camp, Monday – Friday. Meals include a main dish, side dish, dessert and drink. Sorry we are unable to provide an alternative for those with allergy or dietary restrictions. Meals preordered during registration are $5/day Monday- Friday. Meals purchased the day of camp will be $6/day.
A daily snack is provided to all participants, and a gluten-free option is available (please select that option at time of registration.) We are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions, so please plan accordingly.
Adult Volunteers: Volunteers are essential for the supervision and success of Day Camp. We require one full-time volunteer per five campers. If you want to be a volunteer to help at Day Camp please text Dave ASAP.
Adult volunteers will attend a training meeting on Sunday, June 5 to cover adult responsibilities, day camp plans and rules, and emergency plans.
For Individual Booths, Mr Dave is sent an email on Friday 2/4 titled "Individual (Parent/Daughter) booth sale list" with all of our current options. Please reply back with your preferred booths. On Wednesday, 2/9 at 9pm we will allocate the booths based on the emails received at that time.
Training
All adults working a booth must pass the booth sale quiz and send Mr Dave your results.
Once you complete the quiz, you will get an email confirmation from Girl Scouts. Please forward that email to Mr Dave
General Booth Requirements
Non-scout siblings (tag-alongs) are not allowed at the booth.
For Troop (group) booths, there must be two adults. If only one adult signs up, the Troop Booth will be converted to an Individual booth and only their scout may attend the booth.
Unsold cookies checked out for a booth must be returned immediately after the booth ends.
Do not accept bills larger than $20, and check for counterfeits before giving change.
Our troop has two types of booths:
Troop Booths
These booth sales are for up to four girls with two adult helpers. All adults need to be trained and pass the quiz.
These booths are ideal for Brownies and Daisies - its more fun to do this together!
You use troop cookies for these booths. Cookies should be picked up from Mr Dave before the booth sale begins. Extras should be returned immediately after the sale ends.
The troop will provide a table, tablecloth, and a small amount of change for the booth.
All cash from the booth should be turned in to Mr Dave at the end of the booth sale.
Individual (Parent/Daughter) Booths
These booth sales are for girls in one family with their parent. All adults need to be trained and pass the quiz.
Usually these booths are for older girl scouts - Brownes and Daisies are encouraged to do Troop booths.
You can use your own cookies OR troop cookies for these booths. Troop cookies can be picked up from Mr Dave before the booth sale begins. Extra troop cookies should be returned immediately after the sale ends.
The family needs to provide their own table, tablecloth, and a small amount of change for the booth.
All cash from the booth should be deposited into the parent's account at the end of the booth sale.
Money from the booth sale should be given to Mr Dave as a check or venmo.
